--Requirements for a South Carolina Marriage License--

Due to a law that was past last year, we CAN NOT perform weddings on the beach in Myrtle Beach, HOWEVER, we can perform weddings on the beach in the city of North Myrtle Beach. Before a marriage ceremony can be performed a marriage license must be obtained from any South Carolina county court house within the state. A license currently costs approximately $50 - $100 and there is a 24 hour waiting period. The license is good for all of SC state and does not expire. No blood test or physical exam is required, however you must provide a picture ID and social security card. You may obtain an application by calling one of the offices below and they will mail or fax you an application for the license or click on the link below. The license must be picked up in person by the Bride and Groom... Please be sure to read all of the important information and rules available on the web site. The following offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and are closed weekends and holidays.
