Beach Wedding BLOG!"

**Instead of having "Flower" girls throw petals on the Beach--- Think differently- Throw sea shells, use a sand bucket and have them make a trail with colored sand, drop popcorn, be creative!

**Ring Bearers--- Use fake rings on the pillows as if they fall in the sand on the beach you may not be able to find them! Use a small trinket box to hold the rings, ones with sea shells on them are very popular or use a large shell instead of a pillow to carry the rings.

**Instead of an arch that may blow over due to the wind/breeze on the beach make a pathway with pinwheels, Tiki torches with flowers, shells or bows attached (the flames usually blow out) large conch shells or starfish on both sides of the walkway.

**In a "Budget" pinch? Have guest and attendants wear tropical attire for the ceremony. Color coordinate the bridal party and add leis for a festive and in expensive wedding on the beach!

**Do you think it will be too hot in North Myrtle Beach for a wedding? Print a small program or "Thank You" Poem on heavy duty card stock, add wooden popsicle sticks and decorate for nice "fans" to help keep the guests cool. Or, purchase inexpensive decorated, paper umbrellas from party supply stores to help shade the guests.

**Instead of a "unity candle" in your ceremony on the beach (They would blow out!!), have a sand ceremony. Joining together 2 separate bottles of sand into one container is the same principle as the unity candle and the wording for the ceremony is basically the same too. You can even include the children in the sand ceremony letting them add sand and having them become part of the beach wedding ceremony.

**Have your flower girl or ring bearer dress up in grass skirts or shorts and beach attire to add a cute festive touch to you beach wedding.

**Need "favors" to give to guests that came to your North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach Wedding? How about sand and sea shells a small bottle adorned with ribbons or bows, "ivy bowls" with sand and a candle and shells given to each guests, or chocolates in the shape of shells or salt water taffy bundles in tulle circles with bows. Fill sand pails up with Beach necessities like sunscreen, bug spray, small picture frames, disposable cameras, a beach ball or Frisbee for the kids, bottled water and snacks to take to the beach, coupon books for shopping and attractions, cheap sunglasses, postcards, the possibilities are endless!! Add the Bride and Grooms names and wedding date on the outside with a permanent marker for a personalized touch… All are inexpensive and easy to make your self. **OR** Check out our "Shoppe"" for stress free, low cost favors to have waiting on you when you arrive. We have a wide assortment and great deals not always showing on the website. Call Lisa for more information!!

**Need gifts ideas for the attendants for your beach wedding ceremony? Pay for a spa day including pedicures since pretty feet are a must… Purchase matching flip flops with rhinestones attached… Use large sand pails to put an assortment of gifts in instead of a gift bag! Buy a round of golf at one of our lovely golf courses. Take everyone out to a Dinner Show for a fun evening at the Beach….

**Don’t throw rice at the bride and groom…. Use bubbles on the beach, or throw beach balls over their heads, how about using inexpensive sand buckets with unbuttered, unsalted popcorn to throw. (It looks much better in the pictures) ---------Be Creative!---------

**You may want to think about NOT using a veil?? The constant breeze sometimes makes a veil very uncontrollable. (I usually ask the maid of honor to tuck the veil into the back of the Bride’s dress if the veil starts flying in the Bride's face etc….)

**Bridal bouquets and flowers, especially in the middle of the hot summer are better off being silks instead of fresh florals. The heat tends to make fresh flowers wilt faster so it's a chance you may want to take as to how the flowers will look after an hour in 100+ degree heat index!!??

**Plastic runner doesn't do very well on the Beach. You need to weigh it down with sand or shells or bring some type of clips to push down into the sand so the breeze from the Ocean doesn't blow the runner away.

**Those "Just Married" beach Flip Flops are really cute but, don't be surprised if you can't get them to work very well in the sand! The imprints don't show up at all in the hard packed or wet sand and are barely noticeable in the soft sand. The sand needs to be completely smooth for the imprints to work best. Just to let you know.

No matter what you do at your North Myrtle Beach Wedding… be sure to relax and enjoy your stay on the Grand Strand. Always & Forever Weddings would be honored to make your dreams a reality!!

PS....Check back often, I'll add new ideas as I remember them or see new ideas on the Beach!
